Florida SBDC at USF to live tweet Economic Forecast Breakfast from The Lakeland Center
LAKELAND (January 9, 2014) – The Florida SBDC at University of South Florida will live tweet the Economic Forecast Breakfast on January 16, beginning at 7 a.m. from The Lakeland Center.
Entrepreneurs not in attendance can follow the presentation from their own Twitter accounts by searching #EFB2014. They are also encouraged to tweet using the hash tag or retweet @usfsbdc posts as the event progresses.
“We believe making this economic information available to business owners who are not able to attend, via our social media channel, can only better serve Polk County businesses and our clients,” Marketing and Communications Officer for the Florida SBDC at USF, Stacey Pierce, said. “So we are happy to assist the Lakeland Area Chamber in this way.”
The SBDC at University of South Florida assists existing and emerging businesses through no-cost business consulting and low-cost training opportunities, in a 10-county region.
The breakfast will feature Tony Villamil and Brian Wesbury.
Villamil has more than 30 years experience as a business economist, university educator and high-level policymaker at both federal and state governments. He has served as a Presidential appointee as the U.S. Undersecretary of Commerce for Economic Affairs, and is the founder of a successful economic consultant practice.
Wesbury is a Chief Economist at First Trust Advisors, L.P., a financial services firm based in Wheaton, Ill. The Wall Street Journal ranked Westbury as the nation’s leading U.S. economic forecaster in 2001. USA Today ranked him as one of the nation’s top 10 forecasters in 2004 and Speakers Platform named him a top five keynote speaker in 2011.
