Bridge Loan Helps Bradenton-based Business Continue Growth

Success Stories

ArtVue Glass of Manatee County

Bridge Loan Helps Bradenton-based Business Continue GrowthArtVue Glass is a business born out of necessity for a family-owned, reliable and local decorative glass supplier. Started in Bradenton in 2015, the business aims to provide decorative glass products to its customer base that not only meets their service and quality expectations, but exceeds them. ArtVue Glass started as a supplier for decorative, textured cabinet glass, but has expanded to add more textured glass, antique decorative mirror, back-painted glass and safety decorative glass products.

Like many other businesses in the region, ArtVue Glass experienced economic hardship as a result of Hurricane Irma in September 2017. Looking for a solution to bridge the gap in lost revenues, owner John Tagle, reached out to the Florida SBDC at University of South Florida, to find assistance applying for the State of Florida Emergency Bridge Loan.

When asked about his experience with the storm and the assistance received, he recalled:

What type of damage occurred?
Economic damage.

How will the Bridge Loan help?
The Bridge loan was very helpful. It allowed us to continue our growth during the recovery from Hurricane Irma.

How was the Florida SBDC at USF helpful during this process?
Very impressed with how things were handled by the SBDC. This would not have been possible without their help. Patricia was fantastic in facilitating the loan and making everything go very smoothly.
