From the moment Jason Daniels walked into the Florida SBDC at Hillsborough County, he expressed his interest in helping other businesses get busier. Daniels owns a web design and development company and his mission is to help small businesses get online in order to help their companies thrive. “It’s all about having a product and service that people need and making it usable and affordable,” says Daniels, CEO, Get Busier.
While his background is rooted in database management and programming, he is unlike most IT ‘geeks’ in that he approaches web design with an artistic/creative mindset. In addition, he demonstrates excellent people skills through active and empathetic listening.
“I’m very altruistic and want to make people happy. It takes a lot of energy to develop and complete the projects that I do and I want to make my customers happy – provide them with something I can say I’m proud of.”
In this industry it can be hard to find someone that can develop your Website to your specifications, as well as make it usable and pretty, Jennifer Whelihan, FSBDC at Hillsborough County certified business consultant, said. “It is extremely beneficial to be able to develop databases for the functionality of your site and also make it marketable where clients actually use it, and in effect provide the crucial information needed for businesses to build customer niche content.”
Daniels allowed the FSBDC at Hillsborough County to assist him with his business development from pre-venture through the marketing development phases. He stated that the services provided,  including consultations, use of timelines, and goal setting, all aided his business significantly, and he has seen immediate returns. His company has grown so quickly that he is now including multiple package deals for his clientele’s diverse needs.
Daniels says in addition to helping improve his existing collateral, that the approach he learned from Whelihan has helped him to incorporate more pieces. “I have seen a tremendous response in business growth for my updated business cards and postcards, and I am excited to replicate this success to other areas of my marketing as well.”
