Demmi Group of Pinellas County

Marketing Company Utilizes Florida SBDC at Pinellas County; Finds NicheWhether an organization is a startup or has been in business for years, finding that one thing that makes your business different from the rest is a challenging endeavor we all face time and time again. Demmi Group, a marketing agency in the Tampa area, began three years ago with a dream to help other businesses tell their stories through both digital and traditional forms of marketing.

Once Tiffini Schwarzkopf came across the Florida SBDC at Pinellas County Economic Development, she was connected with business consultant Yolanda Goodloe. From there, the two have worked together for the last couple of years to build Demmi Group.

“Our early vision was to help any company with marketing services,” Schwarzkopf said. “Then I started working with the SBDC and did some marketing research, used some of their resources, and realized I was casting such a wide net.

“Over the past two years I was able to narrow in on my marketing services and offerings and find a niche in the area.”

Although Demmi Group still accepts and provides services for clients of all kinds; it now specializes and has a heavy focus on tech and information technology small businesses. The company has also seen several other forms of success.

“Over the last couple of years I’ve been working with Yolanda and she has introduced me to networking groups, resources, and has actually helped me step-by-step to become a woman-owned business,” Schwarzkopf added.

“They make it so easy there to be successful that it’s hard not to and now instead of casting that wide net, I have a really narrow focus, keen and sharp, on who I can help and how I can help.

Schwarzkopf says her business is marked by success. “My biggest success is, not only did I make it past the first year, but I’ve been able to expand and grow and really find that marketing niche that I can serve clients with.”

Not only is Demmi Group seeing expansion in Florida, but it is making ground internationally as well.

“Demmi Group has expanded from a domestic company to providing marketing services internationally. We just got back from Abu Dhabi and London where we were representing clients at tradeshows, “ Schwarzkopf said.

“Without the help and the guidance of Yolanda and the SBDC, I’m not sure if I would have made it as successfully as I have now.”
