M&G Janitorial lands major airport contract
M&G Janitorial Services of Pasco County
“I’ve realized here in Tampa Fla., it’s a service that’s required,” Max Volmar Jr., said of the reason he sought to start a janitorial cleaning business. “It’s also a service that’s needed. Every building you see; every residence you see requires a cleaning service.”
And so, M&G Janitorial Services was born. The company specializes in construction clean up, but also offers residential services in the Tampa area.
While Volmar Jr. knew he wanted to start this new business, he wasn’t quite sure how to grow it. So, he reached out to the Florida PTAC at University of South Florida for assistance. Since starting to receive consulting services Volmar Jr. has learned more about effectively marketing the company in order to grow it and he’s received assistance in building his business plan.
The Florida SBDC at USF also guided Volmar Jr. to obtaining business certifications from the State of Florida’s Office of Supplier Diversity and Tampa International Airport.
As a result, M&G Janitorial Services landed a major contract with Tampa International Airport doing construction clean up. “I was able to hire four new employees within the company to be able to perform the job effectively,” Volmar Jr. added. The airport contract is his largest contract, to date.
While M&G Janitorial Services is now on a path for growth, Volmar says one of his biggest successes has been working with the Florida PTAC and Florida SBDC at USF.
“One of my biggest successes so far is working with SBDC,” he said, “not only being awarded the contract at the airport, more so, focusing on the cash flow of the company and actually working on getting a business loan for the company going forward.”
Moving forward, Volmar Jr. plans on continuing on looking to the Florida SBDC at USF for guidance on helping him to grow and expand the company even more.
