Manning earns Certified Research Administrator credential
TAMPA (October 24, 2014) – Kris Manning has earned the Certified Research Administrator at University of South Florida/Advanced credential. Obtaining this advanced-level certification demonstrates an exceptional level of commitment to excellence in research administration at USF.
“We are very proud of Kris’s work with TRAIN and the fact that she is the only TRAIN-certified individual at the Muma College of Business at USF,” Eileen Rodriguez, Regional Director of the Florida SBDC at USF, said.
Manning will be recognized for this accomplishment at the next TRAIN® Award Luncheon in 2015.
“The full-day opportunity to facilitate the grant process from beginning to end is what we do at the FSBDC regional offices,” Manning said. “Other universities devote people to only part of the process, based on the large number of grants they receive, but we are a one-stop-shop, which really makes my job here exciting.”
The CRA-USF/Advanced is an internal designation given to employees by THE RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION IMPROVEMENT NETWORK (TRAIN®) who successfully complete the full-day Advanced Classroom Lab Session. This lab session provides an opportunity for participants to develop competencies through hands-on guided practice with USF’s business systems, processes, tools and forms.
