Real estate agent attracts global market

Blog, Featured News, SBDC News, Success Stories

Suncoast Realty Solutions of Hillsborough County

Suncoast Realty Solutions of Hillsborough CountyAfter attending the Travel Security Awareness webinar at the Florida SBDC at University of South Florida’s Channelside office, Suncoast Realty Solutions real estate agent Marlene Cambronero was inspired to expand her client base by reaching out internationally.

Cambronero is a Certified International Properties Specialist who has a passion for real estate.

“I love working real estate because I love helping people,” she said. “I find it very fulfilling and it’s something that I can do to make people’s life better.”

While forecasting for the next five years, she relied on the help of Florida SBDC at USF certified business consultant Pablo Arroyo to help guide her through the available resources that would help her attract foreign investors to buy real estate in the Tampa Bay area.

“[His help] has given me the opportunity to gain the confidence and the knowledge that I need to reach out to foreign markets,” she said. “Recently I was in Canada for a real estate show and I was able to utilize the tools and information that Pablo gave me for that event. “As a result, I already have one referral of a client that is coming from Canada to buy in Tampa, and I am now going to be their real estate agent.”

She said Arroyo has provided her with a plethora of research material regarding trends in the global market. The pair uses that research to create strategies to effectively market to the people who are truly relocating to the Tampa Bay area.

“I am very grateful that I have met Pablo and for the opportunity that I have now to grow my business with a confidence and with a knowledge into working in a professional manner and maximizing all of my time and investment,” she said.

Not only has she been able to expand her clientele internationally with the help of Arroyo, she has been able to discover new industry organizations that have allowed her to connect with other businesses who are focused on international trade.

“I am developing a great network of people that are able to recognize the value of what I do and how important it is to have a professional in real estate that has the global expertise in the local market knowledge as well as to be able to deliver the services that the client needs in a timely manner,” she said.

She said she has enjoyed working with Arroyo because he is dedicated, an active listener and he understands her goals and is able to lead her in the right direction to achieve those goals.

“I highly recommend [other business owners] to work with the Florida SBDC at USF,” she said, “because as professionals, we are very busy and focused in the area of our expertise, the who we are; what we do, but we are unaware of the resources and information that is available that can help us be a better professional and explore other opportunities in how we can grow our business. That is a great resource to have and to learn more how far I can go with my business and how to manage things properly.”
